Camera Translator
From
research conducted for the Department of Defense, MobileAMA has developed a camera-phone based mobile translator
for commercial use. At the click of a button, MobileAMA's
patent-pending Camera Translator can easily translate foreign
signs and documents from one language into another.
MobileAMA's proprietary process of capturing, processing, and
translating foreign languages has exciting commercial applications.
Many foreign languages use characters instead of an alphabet, like
Kanji in Japan, Cyrillic in Russia, and Arabic in Muslim countries.
Having the ability to take a picture of a sign or text and getting
a translation using the common camera phone will make traveling
that much easier. For instance, a traveler to China can now read
a menu, find a bathroom, or get directions without learning the
20,000 different Chinese symbols that make up their language. Questions
